Japan is home to Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, a hot spring inn founded in 705 AD. The hotel has operated continuously for more than 1,300 years and has been run by the same family for over 50 generations. When something in Japan is described as 古い (old), it can sometimes be older than entire countries.
