Interesting Fact
🗼Construction of famous “Tokyo Skytree” began in 2008, and the tower reached its full height of 634 meters in March 2011, the same month as the devastating Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. Despite the enormous earthquake, the tower itself survived without serious structural damage. It officially opened in May 2012. Its completion became particularly memorable because one of the world's tallest towers had just demonstrated its earthquake-resistant engineering before it even welcomed its first visitors.
