One beautiful Japanese use of 込 is 込める (komeru). It can mean putting something physically inside, but Japanese also uses it for putting feelings, intentions, or effort into something. For example, 心を込めて (kokoro o komete) means “with all one's heart.” ❤️ When someone carefully makes a handmade gift and puts their feelings into it, Japanese can describe those feelings as being “put inside” the gift. It's a lovely example of Japanese turning a physical idea into an emotional one.
