Interesting Fact
Traditional Japanese homes famously used shōji, wooden frames covered with translucent paper. 🏯 That sounds ridiculously fragile, but the paper had an important purpose: it let soft daylight enter while still providing privacy. Instead of filling rooms with heavy walls, people could slide the panels aside and completely change the layout of the house.
