In "rakugo", a traditional Japanese storytelling art, one performer sits alone and creates an entire scene using only speech, facial expressions, a fan, and a small hand towel. 🎭 The performer switches between characters simply by turning their head or changing their voice. There is no elaborate stage set—the storyteller has to explain and describe the world through words, while the audience imagines everything. Rakugo developed during the Edo period and remains popular today.
