Interesting Fact

The Japanese character 済 comes from the traditional Chinese character 濟. Historically, this character was connected with crossing a river, and it was also used in the name of the Ji River (濟水) in ancient China. Over time, the idea of helping someone cross over developed into broader meanings such as helping, accomplishing, and bringing something to completion.
