Interesting Fact
The expression 道を誤る (michi o ayamaru) literally means “to mistake the road/path,” but it can also mean to make a serious mistake in life or choose the wrong course. Japanese literature has used the image of a person choosing the wrong road as a metaphor for poor decisions.
